The Wine: One of Australia’s greatest rosés. Made from 100% Syrah that’s biodynamically farmed and hand harvested. It is gently pressed in the winery and the juice naturally fermented in a combination of Qvevri and old oak. The wine goes through full malolactic fermentation and has a tiny addition of SO2 prior to bottling. No other additions are made.

Beautiful bright red fruits that twist with orange zest, spice and flowers to create a highly appealing nose. The palate has added freshness and vibrancy this vintage. Zippy twang with herb, orange zest, pomegranate and red current. An absolute belter. Bravo Alan & Nelly.

Producer Profile

Cobaw Ridge

Cobaw Ridge winery was established in 1985 by Alan and Nelly Cooper. Vines were planted on granitic, sandy soil in the cool climate Macedon Ranges, on the cusp of the Great Dividing Range at some 610m. Their positioning, in a natural amphitheatre, provides the perfect place to produce terroir-driven wines. 100% estate grown, they are now fully certified organic and biodynamic, something they are very proud of, and deservedly so.
