Producer Profile

Granite Hills is one of Australia’s highest and most picturesque vineyards – perched atop the spectacular boulder-strewn hills of the Great Dividing Range at 550 metres altitude, and only one hour’s drive north of Melbourne in the Macedon Ranges.

Since the first plantings back in 1970, owner and winemaker Llew Knight has been a trailblazing viticulturist, with a passion for cool-climate varieties. Historic success with Shiraz and Riesling has now been expanded to Gamay and Gruner Veltliner.
