Producer Profile

Situated under an hour from the heart of Melbourne the Yarra Valley has a long reputation for producing fine wines. It’s a large and diverse region and the many microclimate make it suited to growing a wider varieties to a high standard. Pinot Noir has always been a standout of the region and Mac Forbes has a formidable reputation.

Mac Forbes is a bit of a rockstar these days and a seriously passionate Pinot guy. One of the great talents in Australian winemaking Mac returned from working widely overseas in 2004 to setup his own operation in the Yarra Valley. From the outset his ambition was to highlight all the subtle difference this region has to offer.
